King Jesus' Kingdom is NOT of this World... YET

Jesus answered, “My kingdom belongs not to this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My followers would have been fighting to keep Me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is, My kingdom is not from here (this world)”
or 37 Pilate said to Him, “Then You are a King?” Jesus answered, “You say it! [You speak correctly!] For I am a King. [Certainly I am a King!] This is why I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the Truth. Everyone who is of the Truth [who is a friend of the Truth, who belongs to the Truth] hears and listens to My voice.”
38 Pilate said to Him, “What is Truth?”

What a great question. Pilate didn't say “What is true for you is true for you and what is true for me is true for me”. NO!!!! He wanted to know what “real” truth, “objective” truth, “actual” truth is. There is a truth that is true regardless of who believes it is true or if if NO one believes it is true. I will give you a very simple example. Let's say that you are a musical instructor tasked with teaching your students musical notes (very trivial, simplistic example, but work with me people). Let's say that the first note that you want to teach is “A” sharp. You press the appropriate key on a the readily available keyboard (in front of you) and a clear, “A” sharp is heard. You then ask your students to repeat the exercise. They do as you instruct them (on keyboards provided to them), but some of the students have mistakenly chosen, “C” sharp instead of “A” sharp, but believe that they have selected the right key on the keyboard. They are obviously wrong in their assumption, nevertheless they insist that they have selected the right key and are not willing to hear the fact that they are wrong (have selected the incorrect key). They are sincere in their believe, but sincerely WRONG!!. Regardless of their intentions, regardless of how many people agree with them, or how strong their believe or conviction that they have chosen the correct key, they are still WRONG!!. In fact, if the entire class selected “C” sharp and insisted that it was “A” sharp, it is clear that an expert who knows the difference between “A” Sharp and “C” Sharp could easily point out their error. But in light of our PC, tolerant, non-judgmental, sensitive to others' feelings, “what's true for you is true for you...” society should we decide to let them continue believing the wrong thing? This is very trivial and there really isn't any significant or severe consequences for them continuing to believe that a “C” Sharp is an “A” sharp (unless you consider the fact that no music will be produced until this error is corrected), but what if the context and subject matter involved a life or death situation.

What if a doctor prescribes a medication that will treat you for a fatal condition in not treated with the correct medication. You don't believe that the prescription will cure you, and have elected to take some other prescription that you heard your neighbor's gardener's daughter's, best friends, distant relative in another part of of the world may have had a successful experience with. For some reason, you elect to take this person's word over the doctors. The doctor insists that the prescription you chose will not help your condition, but you continue to believe that it will and disregard what the doctor says. Knowing that you will die if you don't take the medication that the doctor has prescribes, should your family step-in and regardless of what you believe (sincerely, earnestly), they do what ever it takes to ensure that you do get the correct medication and save your life. Should they have allowed you to continue believing incorrectly so as to spare your feelings, and not appear judgmental, “holier than thou”, insensitive, or intolerant? Good question. Objective truth is the only truth and it doesn't change regardless of who chooses to believe in it or if NO one believes in it. Why is this so difficult to understand and grasp? Why are people content remaining in a nebulous, vague state of grayness and uncertainty – believing there is no Black or White positions in a particular situation or area of concern. “What's true for your is true for you and what's true for me is true for me” Neither one of us is wrong and neither one of us will have to suffer, experience, deal with any adverse or negative results, affects or consequences regardless of how we believe or feel about a particular situation or circumstance. This position was not held by Jesus. He believed that there was objective truth and anyone who chose not to submit to the truth did so at their on peril. He did not say, “You are free to believe in and think what ever you like or wish to be true”. He actually informed us of the truth (objective) and let us know what would happen if we chose to ignore or reject the truth. Take note of what he said after he informed us of the greatest gift, message, words, news that man's ear has ever had the privilege to hear, “For God so Greatly LOVED and dearly prized the World (people of all races, creeds, cultures, orientations, conditions, etc.) that He freely and without hesitation [even] gave up (generously, lovingly, sacrificially) His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him (his miraculous birth, perfect life, false judgment, groundless verdict, actual death, and supernatural , acceptable to God, Glorious Resurrection) shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.”

An AWESOME, truthful statement according to Jesus Christ. He believes that this statement is true and because of his belief, he stated severe consequences for those who chose to reject or ignore this truth. This is obviously the case based on what he went on to say...”

“He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation—he incurs no Damnation]; BUT he who does NOT believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence, is under damnation] because he HAS NOT BELIEVED in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ’s name.]
The [basis of the] judgment (indictment, the test by which men are judged, the ground for the sentence) lies in this: the Light has come into the world, and people have loved the darkness rather than and more than the Light, for their works (deeds) were evil.
For every wrongdoer hates (loathes, detests) the Light, and will not come out into the Light but shrinks from it, lest his works (his deeds, his activities, his conduct) be exposed and reproved.
But he who practices TRUTH [who does what is right] comes out into the Light; so that his works may be plainly shown to be what they are—wrought with God [divinely prompted, done with God’s help, in dependence upon Him].” It is clear that Jesus had a particular position that he believed to be true and if not accepted or adhered to would mean facing severe and eternally detrimental consequences. He NEVER entertained the position that this is his truth and you have the right to believe in your truth even it is different from his truth and suffer no consequences. He believed that his truth was the only truth and ALL need to accept it as truth or accept the consequences of their decision not to.
Paul the Apostle, also reflected the same sentiment when he said this statement to one of the many Churches he wrote letters to (Corinth)...”....Telling the Good News does not give me any reason for bragging. Telling the Good News is my DUTY—something I must do. And how terrible it will be for me if I do not tell the Good News. If I preach because it is my own choice, I have a reward. But if I preach and it is not my choice to do so, I am only doing the duty that was given to me. So what reward do I get? This is my reward: that when I tell the Good News I can offer it freely. I do not use my full rights in my work of preaching the Good News. But now if Christ (the Messiah) is preached as raised from the dead, how is it that some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not risen; And if Christ has not risen, then our preaching is in vain [it amounts to NOTHING] and your faith is devoid of truth and is fruitless (without effect, empty, imaginary, and unfounded).
We are even discovered to be misrepresenting God, for we testified of Him that He raised Christ, Whom He did not raise in case it is TRUE that the dead are NOT raised.
For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised;
And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is mere delusion [futile, fruitless], and you are still in your sins [under the control and penalty of sin];
And further, those who have died in [spiritual fellowship and union with] Christ have perished (are lost)!
If we who are [abiding] in Christ have hope only in this life and that is all, then we are of all people most miserable and to be pitied.
But the fact is that Christ (the Messiah) has been raised from the dead, and He became the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep [in death].”
Paul is not unwilling to entertain the possibility of being incorrect in his believe that Christ has risen from dead and offers the free gift of salvation to all who believe. He is not afraid of, unwilling to entertain that thought. He is also not deciding to dismiss, disregard, or refuse to hear alternative believes contradictory to his own. He is also willing to accept any consequences, negative results, or adverse affects associated with his beliefs if it turns out they are not true. We should be willing to accept the same with regard to what we have chosen to believe is true. What if we are wrong? Would we want someone to inform us of our error and bring us into the knowledge of the truth? OR would we rather chose to be left alone, not informed of the truth, left to believe a LIE and suffer the consequences, results, conditions, and affects associated with believe in a LIE? Not to mention missing out on the blessings, benefits, privileges, gifts, etc. associated with submitting and conforming to the truth (Objective). Why continue to patronize, and placate people with the dangerous comment “What's true for you is true for you, but may not be true for me”. “You can believe anyway you want and suffer nothing for doing so, because we are both right even though our beliefs are polar opposites”. What a ridiculous position and opinion. Sadly, many people believe this way to their on detriment. Always, strive to know what is TRUE and when you discover it conform to it and never shun, disregard, or fear any other positions, but instead choose to reprove, instruct, inform,correct and help other people know and conform to the truth, also. There is too much to lose, too much at stake, too much to pay if you chose to let these people believe something that is not TRUE regardless of how sincere, earnest, or strong their believe is. What if this person is YOU!!! would you want people to let you continue to believe a LIE and inform you that your incorrect beliefs are “true for you, so there is no harm in continuing in your belief eventhough it is WRONG, INCORRECT & in ERROR and you will suffer tremendously and lose out even more for continuing in this belief. Think about it!! Strive to know truth and settle for nothing less. Know the Truth, The whole Truth and nothing but the Truth. Is God Realy Unfair?

I am sure you have uttered or heard these common phrases - “That’s unfair?”, “why is God allowing this to happen?”, “Why did God remove this (person, thing, experience) from ______ or add that (person, thing, experience_____ into my life?”, “Why didn’t God answer my earnest, sincere, request (prayer)?”. These and other questions have been asked ever since mankind has existed on earth and will continue to be asked as long as mankind is on the earth. These questions amaze me (even though I too am guilty of sharing/feeling these sentiments). I wonder how many people ask themselves –“What is the will of God for my life?” or “What is the will of God in the lives of the people that I love?” or “What is the will of God for the people that I am acquainted with – (have hurt me, benefitted me, hated me, felt hatred from me, have done good or bad to people I know, love, etc.)? What is God’s will for me as opposed to others? Is God’s will different for me than for others? Is God’s will different for those who “love” him as opposed to those who “hate” him?
The fact is that God’s Eternal, Sovereign, Perfect will has been determined prior to the creation of the world and the creation of mankind. God has decreed in accordance with His Omnipotence, Omnipresence, Omniscience, Holiness, and Eternal, Righteous, Just, Loving nature - the will for every person that is privileged to be part of mankind from it’s origin (when the first person of mankind breathed his first breath) till the appointed time when the last person of mankind breathes his/her last breath on earth. Can you imagine if God were Omnipotent, but not omniscient? , Holy, but not Eternal? Loving, but not Omnipresent (Ubiquitous)? If God did not possess all of his characteristics from eternity to eternity how could he be defined as a Sovereign Being? Many people believe that God isn’t sovereign -that there are things that he desires to happen, but doesn’t have the ability to cause them to happen or that there are things he would like to prevent but doesn’t have the power to do so. These beliefs are not grounded in Truth but are believed based on personal experiences that occurred (or didn’t occur) in the lives of people.
Imagine for a second that God appeared to you and presented you with a book, The Sovereign Book of Life that describes in specific, exact detail , the lives of every person of mankind from their origin until their end. All the happenings of all the people you know or don’t know, love or hate, are part of your immediate and extended family and of course all of the events, experiences, etc. of your life are also included in this book. What if he allowed you the opportunity to change anything that you saw fit in the lives of strangers, people you know, love, and even events in your own life – would you change anything? Would you add something to this book or remove something from this book - from the lives of anyone including your own? Would you attempt to improve on the Sovereign, Holy, Loving, Eternal plans of God based on his omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence? Do we believe we know more than Him? Are we able to improve His Sovereign plans for all of mankind? We could change the quality and condition of our lives or the lives of others from a temporal perspective, but have no idea how that would affect our lives or theirs from an eternal perspective. What impact, consequence, results would these potential changes have 1000 years from now? We are not able to look into the future of the lives of anyone. We don’t know the outcome, effects or consequences of experiences or life events especially from a long-term perspective. We are short-sighted and are primarily concerned with the temporary as opposed to the eternal. Everyone is attempting to maximize the temporary aspects of their lives as if this is all there is. Everyone would like to live a life in which happiness, pleasure, and joy is maximized and pain, suffering, struggle, hardship, and difficulty is minimized. Why would anyone choose to trade pleasure for pain, prosperity for poverty, things present for things absent, possessions for opportunities? If this is all there is we want to maximize all the good things in our lives and minimize or rid ourselves of all things bad, but to what end, for what purpose, goal or objective? Is it our desire to merely occupy space, acquire possessions, indulge our every desire or want, maintain our temporal relationships for as long as possible, seek after power, popularity, prominence, and possessions for as long as we possibly can while on earth? Why do we also desire this for all of the people we love? If this were all there was, this would make complete sense. But what if God has a Sovereign, Eternal, Holy plan that is different from ours? - Plans that focus on eternal benefits and blessings as opposed to temporal ones. Most people believe that if they made a certain amount of money from a job that they loved, secured the love of a certain person (and had a healthy relationship with), lived in a particular house, furnished in a desirable manner, with a number of exotic cars and a number of manageable, productive children, with no one ever getting sick or hurt, alongside kind, generous neighbors, etc. that they would be happy and the goal would be to maintain this happiness for as long as possible. If anything happened to disrupt it or alter the conditions or quality of it, we would deem these things “unfair”, “undesired” or “unwarranted”. But is this the will of God for people? God’s will is that you spend eternity with Him enjoying all that He is and all that He has for all of eternity. If you had the ability to do so, would you feed your child anything and everything they ask for and not withhold anything from them? If you were given the Sovereign Book of Life from God and noticed that your life, the lives of those you love, the lives of those you hate, the lives of those who hate you did not have the attributes and experiences that you would prefer. You notice that there is not enough good and too much bad in your life and the lives of the people you love and too much good and not enough bad in the lives of the people that you hate and the lives of those who hate you. Would you change anything? Would you increase/decrease the life span of anyone, increase/decrease the possessions, popularity, prominence, experiences, challenges, difficulties, sicknesses, tragedies, hardships, pains, sufferings, pleasures, joys, indulgences, happy/joyful experiences ordained for anyone, everyone including yourself? We all are guilty of pointing our fingers or fist up to the air demanding that God do something, prevent something, maintain something in the lives of others or in our own lives, but do we fully understand the implications of these requests? Do we really expect God to change his Eternal, Sovereign, Perfect will for our lives and the lives of mankind in general to satisfy our fickle, fleeting, short-sighted, desires and wants? What if we wanted something to occur in our life (or the life of someone else) and this thing actually occurred, but once it occurred and you were allowed to experience it, you or they realized it was not at all what you or they expected in fact you realized that you actually don’t want this thing and would actually like it removed from your life. We desire things because we think, believe, have convinced ourselves or have been convinced by others that the outcome, results, benefits of these things will be beneficial to us, but we don’t know if this will actually be the case. We buy-in to these thoughts and begin to figure out ways to manifest them in our lives. Since we believe or have convinced ourselves that the ends justify the means, we have no problem becoming treacherous, vindictive, manipulative, dishonest, or selfish in order to acquire, maintain, or prevent undesirable experiences in our lives and the lives of others. But to what end? No life no matter what it includes or doesn’t include will be able to satisfy us or anyone else for that matter. We all possess natures that are never satisfied or content. We all will always desire more of what have already attained and also the things, etc. we hope to gain. Imagine a hole of a certain width and depth, but once you attempt to fill, both the width and depth increases as it is filled. This hole will never be filled because it will always make room for whatever is attempting to fill it. It will never be completely filled. This is a great picture of our insatiable and unquenchable nature. We all have an unquenchable thirst for more and different things, experiences, etc. This nature will never be appeased no matter what you do to satisfy it.
God has placed “eternity” in our hearts and we won’t be satisfied with nothing and no one else. We have all been deceived and blinded into thinking and believing that things or people on earth will satisfy us. This is not the case. No matter what life we live we will always desire something else. Hopefully, one day we will realize and recognize that what we truly are longing for is a relationship with God. We desire for God to love us, accept us, forgive us, and desire us as we are and not look down on us, expect unreasonable things from us, or judge us. We buy into the lie that God doesn’t love us because of things, experiences in our lives that we believe He is responsible for. “Why did he allow my loved one to die? Why did He allow this sickness, this accident, this detrimental experience, etc.? Obviously he either doesn’t love or care for me, or isn’t able to do anything about it. Based on these false believes we decided to live our lives for ourselves and disregard any desire to pursue a relationship with him. Sadly and Ironically, if God actually did give you what you wished, you still would not be satisfied and in fact would draw further away from him as opposed to move towards Him. When we acquire, maintain, desire things and experiences in our lives we only desire more of these things believing that these things are what we are desiring more of regardless of what we have actually acquired, maintained or gained more of in our lives. If you could change anything in your life or the lives of others this would not benefit you or them from a long-term perspective. God has already decreed the most perfect plan that maximizes all the temporal things that we desire for all eternity. The most important and significant attribute of God’s Holy, Sovereign, Perfect plan is that it maximizes the lives of those who love him and desire to be with him – enjoy Him, love Him, worship Him, long to be with Him in spite of the ever increasing longings, temptations, deceptions and entrapments that the world has to offer. 
God says it best when he says “What does it profit a man to gain the world, but lose his/her soul”. The answer is “NOTHING”!!!
We should all pursue the “eternity” that God has placed in our hearts. He desires to spend eternity with us and has orchestrated all the things in our lives before the foundation and creation of the world to make this so. If we pursue his plans, his eternal plans will continue to be manifested in our lives, however if we reject, disregard, work against or attempt to change his eternal plans, we continue to seal our fate of a life completely devoid of Him and all that He is for all of Eternity. His eternal plan for all of mankind individually has already been decreed. To ask him to change some temporal thing in our personal life is very presumptuous on our part because how could He improve on perfection (he has perfectly planned all the events, experiences in your life to ensure you spend eternity with him and not apart from him if you choose to pursue his plan for your life instead of creating one for yourself)? Also, we don’t realize the outcome of what we ask for and if we did we wouldn’t ask for it. God knows this which is why most of the time his answer to our prayers is NO! His answer is “No” because our prayer(s) is not in accordance to His sovereign, perfect, eternal will for our live in particular and the lives of mankind in general. God has NEVER NOT answered any prayer we address to Him. If it is in accordance to His perfect will, the answer is always “YES”. However, the timing, situation, or you may not be able to receive what you are requesting. If you pray in accordance to God’s will, and you are right, but the timing is wrong, God’s answer is “Slow” meaning the answer is “YES” but the timing is not in accordance to His sovereign, perfect will so he desires us to wait patiently and humbly on his perfect timing. If the timing is right but we are wrong (in motive or intentions), God desires for us is to Grow – become more spiritually mature so that we maximize the benefits and blessings of the request and not waste it because we were not prepared to receive it or. If we are right and the timing is right – both in accordance to His will, the answer will always be “YES” (GO). He desires us to share in the benefits of His Eternal, Sovereign plans for us that He has ordained to ensure that we grow into the perfect example of a child change by His Love, Power Grace in accordance to His Will. One thing to keep in mind, God answers the prayers of his children, those individuals who have decided to follow and seek after His will for their lives instead of their own. They have decided to not trust in their hearts, thoughts, feelings, understandings, but by faith place their trust in His Will for their lives and future. The way to become one of His children is to place your faith in the finished work of his Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only way to obtain access to the father, because HE is the only provision that God has provided to make us completely acceptable in His eyes. As sinners by nature, our actions both good and bad cannot contribute anything on our behalf. Pursing good deeds and/or avoiding bad deeds have no Eternal benefit. God only accepts perfection and no human has ever been nor will ever be morally perfect. Jesus has always been and will always be morally perfect. Imagine If I walked up to a complete stranger and asked him to provide for me, meet my (immediate) needs - whatever they were at the time. If I was sincere and earnest in my request to this person, He still would not grant my request. Why, because he doesn’t know me. We do not share a relationship together and so there can be no fellowship. If my son were to ask me to provide for me dad, meet my needs – of course you know what my answer would be because he is my son. If you are not a child of God (He doesn’t recognize you as one of His children) you are a sinner in His eyes. The only prayer that He can answer for you (in accordance to His Sovereign, Righteous, Perfect, Just will) is the “Sinner’s Prayer” for salvation and relationship with him by trusting in the finished work of His Son, Jesus Christ. If God required you to leap over the Grand Canyon as a requirement for salvation, would you start a rigorous training program to help you accomplish this task? No matter what training program you pursued or how long you pursued it, you would never be able to leap over the expanse of the Grand Canyon. You would simply have to fall at his feet and depend on his mercy and grace… humbly admitting to him that you are not able to comply with His request. Once you humbly decided to do this he would proclaim that someone has already completed this task on your behalf and you need to trust in, place your faith in the finished work of this person to gain acceptance in the eyes of God. Which would you prefer the futile training program or the finished work of Jesus Christ? I chose Jesus Christ and have not doubted my decision for over 25 years of deciding to be one of his humble followers. I would advice all others to do the same. As far as I am concerned this is the only logical option. There are no other viable options (really). But I know the majority of the people (due to pride) will continue to pursue other option or no options (simply live for themselves), but at what cost, at what loss? Consider the things that I have shared… May God continue to richly bless you, provide his Grace, Love and Peace to you as you come into the knowledge of His precious TRUTH!! – AMEN

The Truthfulness of Truth (Real, Objective, Undeniable, Un apologetic - Truth)

I am sure in light of recent of events occurring all over the world people are realizing how fragile, fleeting, unpredictable, and uncontrollable life really is. No one has any idea what the future holds for them, their family or anyone else. We all just live and hope to remain safe and experience good, happy, enjoyable, and fulfilling experiences, events, and situations. We wish the same for others for the most part unless we feel based on their poor actions or decisions they don’t deserve this. There is very little empathy for people especially if we disagree with how they live their lives and the decisions they have made and/or are make so far that have been detrimental, devastating, and destructive for others and/or themselves.
I truly believe that God continues to use tragic, horrific, terrible situations to awaken us from our slumber, complacency, disregard, deception, and false sense of security. Many people all over the world are hoping and praying that the tragic, devastating, destructive events in life will escape them, their families, and those they care about. That they will be spared bad news related to terminal illness, sickness or disease. That events or experiences whether natural, accidental, unintentional, intentional, consequential that they may encounter due to their own or someone else’s poor decisions, assumptions, deceptions, mistakes, evil intentions or carelessness will escape them. If they find themselves having to face one of these events or experiences, they often speak of how unfair life is or how could “God” allow such things to occur to them or anyone else especially if they result in multiple casualties or deaths. The fact is that as long as there are sinners engaging in sinful activities or not paying attention or considering the consequences of their actions, but simply choosing to “live for the moment”, these events and circumstances will continue to happen and cause harm to many people who have nothing to do with the events, circumstances, experiences and situations that lead up to the unwarranted and devastating events however and whatever they choose to manifest themselves.
The Truth is that some Americans will be spared some of the more tragic events that happen daily around the world and will consider themselves “lucky” or “blessed’ and go on with life, regretting the tragedies they see happening all around them, expressing anger, vengeance and hatred towards the perpetrators or those responsible, but continuing to pursue their own lives, hoping for the best for themselves, those they love and care about and for “good”, “moral”, and “decent” people like them. We all eventually forget about these events especially if they don’t directly impact our lives and continue pursuing and focusing on things that are beneficial and desirable to us, etc. We really believe and convince ourselves that if we manage to escape these horrible experiences and live a moderately good, decent, fun, secure and safe lifestyle… what more could we ask for or should we be concerned with. But the TRUTH is we don’t know the future and we really should spend more time making decisions about things that really matter. Imagine how many times and how many people would seriously consider or wonder about eternal matters if they didn’t realize how unpredictable, fleeting and fragile their lives actually were. If you learned that you only had a month, a week, a day, an hour left to live would you change anything about the way you live, spend your time, energy, and effort pursuing things that have no eternal significance, benefit or value? Regardless of what life you live on earth, when it is over you enter a Godless eternity, what difference would it make? Of course this question is irrelevant if in fact there is no God and when you die you merely return to the earth from which you came. In addition, there is a growing segment of the world population that believe that you will have the opportunity to live your life over after death or that if you kill an enemy of God that you will be guaranteed a paradise of pleasure and indulgence. These people may convince themselves that where they spend eternity has already been addressed or doesn’t apply to them.
Jesus Christ made some very important statements during his limited 3 years of ministry on earth. One of these statements should definitely be considered and NEVER forgotten – “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” Mathew 10:28. If there was no need to worry, be concerned with or consider your eternal destiny, why would Jesus make such a statement? Another scripture passage recounts Jesus receiving words of a tragic, evil event and in response to this tragedy recalling another event where people lost their lives through a natural, accidental and unpredictable event, but gave the same response for both- “There were some present at that very time who told him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2 And he answered them, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way? 3 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem? 5 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13:1-5. The Galileans mentioned were martyred for their beliefs and their blood was mingled with the blood of animals sacrificed to false idols. The crowd thought that Jesus would have been outraged of this act and want revenge, but instead Jesus focused on the bigger issue. He even referred to another event to reinforce the point that he wanted to make. The reason behind the tower in Siloam falling was not even addressed. This could have been due to negligence on the part of the designer or it could have been caused by natural causes or a force of nature. The cause wasn’t address because it wasn’t what Jesus wanted to focus on.
The circumstances leading to ones death, the timing of one’s death, the conditions, characteristics, attributes, etc. are not what matter according to Jesus. He also wanted to indirectly address the question “Why would God all this to happen to “innocent” individuals who had done nothing to deserve their lives being abruptly cut so short due to no fault or actions of their own. He wanted to the crowd to understand that there is no such thing as an innocent person in the eyes of God. We are all sinners in his presence – guilty of sin and worthy of eternal judgment and separation from Him. No one can or will escape this fact. This is why Jesus brought attention to their sinfulness instead of their innocence and wanted to the crowd to understand, know, and realize that they were no better in the eyes of God than the individuals who had died. He also, wanted them to realize that the same or similar thing could have easily happened to any of those present in the crowd. The possibility of natural, intentional, unintentional or accidental events leading to death was not his focus. The only thing that he wanted the crowd to focus on was the state of the person’s soul as it entered into eternity. Did the person(s) address his/her sinful condition making provision for it prior to death? The point being that we are NOT considered sinners in the presence of God because we sin. We sin because we are sinners - born with a propensity and proclivity to engage in sinful actions and activity from birth based on our inherent nature.
Jesus was definitely not belittling or making light of either event, but he was trying to wake people out of their deceptive slumber of complacency and false security. He wanted them to be aware of a more pressing, important, and serious concern with much greater tragic, devastating, and detrimental consequences. Consequences that didn’t just result in death, but eternal suffering being separated from God and all that He is, has and plans for all of us. This was Jesus’ main concern and he wanted to inform people all around him of this pending inevitability unless they (& we) desire and decide to seek help from HIM (and only HIM) to change their pending fate. A key point to note is that even if we could avoid engaging in sinful activity from birth to death or by our own will power and determination cease engaging in sinful acts and activity progressively throughout our life to the state of sinlessness - either condition would make no difference in the presence of God. Apart from placing faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ – based on his birth, life, judgment (on our behalf), death and resurrection (to provide for us new life and power to live it out), we will be considered sinners in the presence of God regardless of the quality or character of the life we live or eventually choose to live. Even if we could avoid sinful acts, actions, and activities, we could not cease from sinful thoughts or intentions. God will consider our acts, thoughts, words, and intentions individually and specifically to determine the condition of our eternal existence, but not the destination of our eternal existence. Our faith (or lack there of) in the Finished and Accepted and Freely given work of Jesus Christ will be the ONLY consideration when determining our eternal destiny. In other words even Hell or eternal separation from God will be manifested differently for all people who die apart from Christ, but no solace, comfort, or consolation should be taken from this fact. Hell will appear to be as Hellish as it could have possibly been based on the individuals experience who finds him/herself there even though others will experience a worse condition of Hell. Also, people might think that this Hellish experience will eventually cease, but this is not the case. Imagine for instance if a bird could travel to the sun, the nearest star or the farthest star from the earth (no one knows where this is). Let’s say that this bird would take one single grain of sand in it’s beak and transport it to one of these final destinations (doesn’t matter which one). By the time the bird has transported every grain of sand from the earth to its final destination, eternity would have just begun. There is no time duration in eternity-it NEVER ends!! Based on this fact it is understandable why Jesus wanted to point out the urgency and importance of everyone, everywhere and for all times to obtain a provision for their (our) sinful condition prior to entering into eternity.
There are tragedies all around us and we hear about them every day. Regardless of whether they directly impact our lives or those we care about, one day we will all experience our last day on earth whether it be due to our decisions and choices in life, someone else’s or no one else’s. The fact remains that one day we will breathe our last breath on earth and enter the realm of the unknown afterwards. We should definitely be concerned with what will be the characteristics and attributes of our life after death. Jesus thought that this was an important consideration and did not want us to disregard, dismiss, or simply ignore it. He wanted us to be informed and know what to expect when this happened so we could respond accordingly. There is far too much at stake which is why he decided to bring this to the attention of the crowds that drew around him so they would not be mistaken, confused or ignorant of this inevitability as far as He was concerned.
After considering his statements, people (as they did then) will continue to disregard, not pay attention to, or just simply ignore his comments and choose to continue to live life as they see fit. They will continue to lie to themselves or believe the lies of others that Jesus didn’t know what he was talking about, or that he was mistaken. Many will choose to believe that He never made any such comments, but deceived, mistaken or malicious religious men attributed them to Him for their own selfish and personal gain. In other words choosing to be believe that men with a desire to incite fear in the hearts of people so that they can be easily controlled by religious dogma and rhetoric, included passages about Hell, satan, and eternal damnation in the Bible. Still others will choose to believe that Jesus was delirious or just simply wrong. In either case, they will choose to acquire and believe the truths of others who are not able to save them from themselves and their sinful ways and definitely not from eternal separation from God who is HOLY, Righteous, and Just. In others words, He CANNOT tolerate or live in the presence of sin or those who possess an inherent sinful nature (all of mankind apart from Jesus Christ).
Most people will simply say - based on their own authority or the authority of someone other than Jesus that there is no such thing as Sin, satan, Hell, Damnation, Judgment, or separation from God. Some will even say there is no God except the God that you have chosen to believe for yourself -possessing the character and nature that benefits you and what you desire and believe. Basically, you are your own god and have the ability to save yourself (if you believe you need saving) and determine your own destiny. Sadly the majority of people all over the world will chose to believe this truth instead of the truth clearly proclaimed by Jesus. Jesus made several other statements during his 3 years of ministry that should be carefully read, meditated on, and seriously considered:
“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-25
“and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32
“Then Pilate said to him, “So you are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world—to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice. Pilate said to him, “What is truth?” After he had said this” John 18:36-38
You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe me. John 8:44-45
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
In one of the passages above, Pilate had a very interesting response that all people should pay careful attention to. After Jesus said, “Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice” Pilate responded “What is truth?” What an awesome question that we should all ask for ourselves and make it our purpose in life to determine the answer to this most important question. While you live your life this question should NOT be disregarded, ignored, dismissed, or not considered. We must all come to the full knowledge of the truth regardless of what it is since there are definite, pending, long-term consequences for not submitting to it. Truth.. real truth, objective truth is true regardless if anyone believes it or no one believes it. Truth does not depend on anyone believing it for it’s truthfulness and just because someone, anyone or no one believes it that doesn’t make it true. It is true because it is true, apart from everyone - PERIOD.
Many people all over the world seriously and sincerely believe things that are NOT true. They have come to these belief(s) based on their own or someone else’s personal experience, information, intellect, reasoning or determination. NONE of this matters because objective, real truth doesn’t depend on ANY of this and is and will always remain true regardless. Before you or anyone else was born and experienced, reasoned, determined or believed your truth, Truth was already true and not dependent on you or anyone else choosing to believe it’s truthfulness. If the majority or all humans of all generations since the beginning of mankind chose to believe something as true that still would not make it true.
To prove and clarify this point and Fact, let’s say for example that scientist all over the world came to the unanimous decision after serious examination, hours of experiments, extensive research, observations and mathematical calculations that gravity in fact did not exist. As a result of this new found discovery, they began performing demonstrations all over the world dropping various objects from various distances from various heights, participating in many interviews, lectures, speaking engagements exclaiming the fact that gravity did not exist. During these numerous events several people in the crowd began to argue against their beliefs, but the scientist disregarded, ignored, and dismissed their questions, concerns, and issues with this new found discovery and instead responded to them by hurling personal attacks at them, belittling them, making fun of them, and calling them quacks and stupid. The scientist continued their talks and speeches and even began writing books and amassed a large followings of people who also chose to believe as they did - that there was no such thing as gravity and ridiculed, belittled, and made fun of anyone who chose to believe otherwise.
Eventually people - to show their allegiance to this new found truth and convince others of their devotion to this truth, began jumping from various high structures and falling to their death, but the movement continued to grow and many others began to prove their allegiance by doing the same thing. In the face of the growing number of deaths by the devotees, the scientist and proponents of the new found faith continued to proclaim the truth that there was no such thing as gravity and many more died in the name of this truth. They all sincerely believed this and proved their devotion by choosing to die for their beliefs. Regardless of the number of educated scientist, lectures, books written, sincere proponents and devotee deaths, the fact, the truth - regardless of personal experiences, convictions, reasoning, decisions, beliefs, and choices is that GRAVITY does indeed exists!! Has always existed and will continue to exist!!! Regardless of what anyone says or does to prove or convince otherwise. If every human on earth chose to believe that gravity did not exist it would make no difference regardless of how they came to believe this lie – personal experiences, intellectual deduction, reasoning, determinations, decisions, choices, etc. would make no difference. Even isf we all jumped to our death to prove our conviction to our truth, The real, objective, unchanging truth would remain, Gravity exists!!

The same can be said of objective Truth. It is, has been and will remain true regardless of what anyone believes or chooses to believe, determines, or decides. We need to heed what Jesus Christ has clearly stated - in light of the unpredictability, fragility, and temporality of life we should sincerely and seriously determine what “real” truth is. We should question and test the validity of all claims of truth and come to the Full knowledge of “real”, “proven”, “validated”, “eternal”, and “objective” TRUTH. There is way too much at stake if you choose to believe something that isn’t true that is FAR, FAR worse than plunging to your death as a result of believing something that claims to be true, but in fact is NOT TRUE. If you choose to believe in, trust in something that is not true, you must be willing to accept any and all consequences if in fact you are actually believing a lie and was not willing to actually determine what is actually and in fact, TRUE!! Here are a few other biblical passages that should be carefully read, considered, and understood:
“…that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” 1Timothy 2:2b-4
“The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 2 Timothy 2:9-12
“But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” 2 Peter 3:8-9
“Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures” I Corinthians 15:1-3
“Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.” I Corinthians 15:12-19

Teachings of Jesus Christ, an excerpt from the Gospel of Matthew -
Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to be My disciple, let him deny himself [disregard, lose sight of, and forget himself and his own interests] and take up his cross and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying, also].For whoever is bent on saving his [temporal] life [his comfort and security here] shall lose it [eternal life]; and whoever loses his life [his comfort and security here] for My sake shall find it [life everlasting]. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life [his blessed life in the kingdom of God]? Or what would a man give as an exchange for his [blessed] [r]life [in the kingdom of God]?For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory (majesty, splendor) of His Father with His angels, and then He will render account and reward every man in accordance with what he has done.
Why do we all pursue the “rat race” of insatiable (never satisfied) and unquenchable (always wanting more) pursuit of stuff, things, and status upgrades when in the end they offer and result in so little? When you breathe your last breath, and gaze your eyes on this realm for the last time and open them in Eternity, what will all the things and status rankings you acquired and achieved but no longer have or possess mean to you? Gazing out at Eternity where you will spend for endless ions of timeless existence, what will you miss, long for, wish you had? Will you regret the fact that you didn’t acquire, accomplish, or achieve more or will you bemoan the fact that you wasted and spent so much time on such trivial things and did not pay enough attention to the essential more important things? Whatever the case, you live NOW and these are things that should be pondered before it is too late. I am sure anyone, everyone after they close their eyes on this world for the last time before facing eternity would give everything they have to have just 1 more day, one more hour, one more minute, even one more second if they really and truly realized what an Eternity without God apart from a personal relationship with Christ Jesus really entails. Most people chose to accept whatever they want to believe about eternity or have adopted the beliefs of someone else (which can’t be verified or corroborated) instead of submitting to the simple, undeniable, objective truth. And for what? What have chosen to submit to since they have decided to reject the truth? What are the consequences, ramifications, results of making this decision? Most people are concerned, don’t care or simply ignore this and choose to hold on to their personal beliefs about where they will spend eternity.
I was listening to a debate between a self proclaimed atheist or “Anti-theist” who he preferred to be referred as and an evangelical Christian apologist. If were to decide the winner of the debate based on who proclaimed truth based on logic and coherent and consistent points and precepts, you would have to say that the Christian’s argument and position far outweighed any arguments proposed by the “anti-theist” and even he at the end of debate agreed to this, but in his final statement he appealed to his audience. “Are we all to actually believe that we are all sinners, damned to an eternal Hell doomed to experience torture, darkness, and miserable conditions for all eternity apart from faith in Christ? If this is true, why aren’t we all running to Christians and churches and professing faith in Christ in droves all around the world to escape such a horrible and certain fate? The reason is you and I both know that none of this is true. 
That was his final argument. Not an appeal to logic, reason or truth, but the so called fact that the ideas of original sin, the FALL of mankind, guilt before a Holy God, judgment, and damnation based on the righteous requirements of a Holy God, sacrifice of Holy God as a provision for a sinful state, resurrection from the dead, gift of eternal life (apart from works) , grace, mercy and Unconditional love and acceptance - could never be true. Therefore there is no need for a place of Eternal Damnation (created for a “satan and the fallen angels that submitted to him instead of God, not for mankind) to house those for all eternity who have chosen to live for themselves apart from God. They have chosen to not submit their will to God, but chose to live their lives according to their own will. As Frank Sinatra put it “I did it my way”!!!. God did not condemn these people to Hell. They chose to reside there for all eternity by choosing not to have anything to do with the true God while on earth and having no desire to spend eternity with him after death. They would love to and are hoping to just fall into a deep sleep and never awake from it or perhaps have their soul placed into another being and have a “do over” experience. There is no evidence that either of these alternative viewpoints are true and must be believe solely by faith, ironically. The same faith that God requires us to have for His existence, provisions, will, and sovereign plan for us and all mankind.
None of this means anything to those who are perishing and aren’t concerned with this fact. Imagine walking down a busy street in one of popular cities, NY, LA, Dallas for example. Throwing someone, anyone a life preserver or a parachute and screaming to them “Save Yourself Before it’s too late!!” What do you think their response would be? Do you think they would instantly began to get into the life preserve or fitting themselves with the parachute? What a ridiculous thought… They don’t feel they need to be saved from anything, so they would more than likely refuse the offering and perceive you as a nut case or a mentally challenged individual. They may even make fun of you or have a laugh thinking this must be some of a joke and began looking for cameras. However if they have been ejected from a cruise ship an plunge into ice, cold, turbulent waters or given the message over the intercom that the plane that they are in is going to crash and a limited number of parachutes are available, the situation changes and the value of the life preserve and parachute changes. 
This is our challenge. We must realize and accept our state and condition before a Holy, Righteous God. How could we appear anything but sinful in His presence? Even if from the moment we realized our sinful condition before God, if we managed the impossible feat of living a Perfect life (according to Him and not others) until we breathed our last breath, we would not be acceptable in His sight based on His righteous standard. We would have had to be perfect from birth and birthed by someone perfect from birth who was also birthed by someone perfect from birth….who was born of God perfect from birth and never sinned any of their days on earth. This will, can, and never happened. Simply look in the mirror and see if perfection is looking back at you. This is not and will never be the case. Considering this why is it so hard to humbly accept the free gift of God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by Faith? Are we not willing? Are we not willing to humble ourselves before God? Or Are we just too prideful, arrogant, wise in our own eyes and desire to live for ourselves and all that entails instead of choosing to live for God. 
How long can you live for yourself? 70 years?, 80 years?, 90 years? What if you could live for yourself – pursuing your own pleasures, desires, etc. for 1000 years!!! Would you be willing to suffer eternal damnation for all eternity when it finally came to end? Believe me all of our lives will eventually come to end…..Then What? Something to consider while there is still time.

God has never condemned ANYONE!!!! We are all born condemned, but Thank Him for Jesus Christ!!!

John 3: 14-21,
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must [so it is necessary that] the Son of Man be lifted up [on the cross],
15 In order that everyone who believes in Him [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him] may [c]not perish, but have eternal life and [actually] live forever!
16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([d]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

I am sure that most, if not all people in most countries around the world (those who have internet capability) have been made aware of this simple, non-threatening, informative, insightful, and necessary passage of scripture packed and full of truth and insight into the heart, mind and will of God. It proclaims the extent of His Love for all of us (mankind world-wide), how He demonstrated this unique love by giving His Only begotten Son as provision for those (among all humans for all time dwelling on earth) willing to trust in His provision to escape pending doom in Hell and receive eternal life instead with in Heaven.

17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.

I would venture to say that far less people world-wide are aware of this passage of scripture. It clearly states that God did not provide His Only begotten son to judge, condemn, or damn the world. This is Good News to and for us All. The purpose for sending His Son was not to condemn us, judge us, or DOOM us to Hell for all Eternity. Why do you think this clarification was made by Him? I believe God wanted to inform us that sentence for us and our sin has already been proclaimed and pronounced by Him. There is no need to proclaim or pronounce it again (read Romans Chapters 1-3 for a better understanding of this pronouncement). God is proclaiming a provision for His pending judgment against sin of all kind manifested in all of it’s various ways. He clearly states “but that the world might find salvation .. through Him”. Why does the world need to find salvation if it is not condemned? This is God’s way of verifying and validating the truth and reality of the coming judgment for sin. He informs us of a way to escape this pending doom by placing our trust and faith in His Son and his finished work on the cross on our behalf as a provision for our sin of which we are all guilty of.
Through the Bible (esp. the New Testament) there are list of sinful acts that are under the condemnation of God. These lists are not exhaustive. They are merely a list of the heinous or common sinful acts that are under the condemnation of God and consequently those who practice these things are also under the same condemnation and judgment. I am not sure why some people are very vocal in expressing disdain, resentment, and judgment for those who inform them that because they continue to practice certain sinful acts, that they are under the judgment and condemnation of God. We are all under this condemnation and judgment regardless of what particular sins we choose to practice. No one can escape this judgment, condemnation, and doom ultimately manifested by being damned to an eternity in Hell. God has informed us all that He has sent His Only Begotten Son not to inform us of our judgment, but to inform us of the only provision made available to us to escape this judgment.

18 He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation—he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ’s name.]

This is clearly stated by the words “but he who does not believe is judged already because he has not believed in the only begotten Son of God.” If anyone chooses not to believe in and accept God’s only provision for our sin- manifested in the various sins that we are guilty of, we remain under the judgment and condemnation of God. After God makes this clarification of judgment and provision, he provides further insight into our current state apart from Christ in the next few verses.

19 The [basis of the] judgment (indictment, the test by which men are judged, the ground for the sentence) lies in this: the Light has come into the world, and people have loved the darkness rather than and more than the Light, for their works (deeds) were evil.
20 For every wrongdoer hates (loathes, detests) the Light, and will not come out into the Light but shrinks from it, lest his works (his deeds, his activities, his conduct) be exposed and reproved.

Evil doers – those who willingly and continually choose to practice deeds defined as sinful by God, are not interested in trusting in the provision for their sins because they enjoy their sinful pursuits too much or have convinced themselves that they could never give these sinful acts and deeds up. Since this is the case they ignore, run from and shun the light of truth proclaimed in the Bible. They are not concerned that they are under the judgment of God for choosing to continue in their sinful state and not avail themselves of the gracious provision from God the father.
People are either going to spend all Eternity in the presence of God or banished for all eternity from His presence. Why would someone who chooses to indulge in their sinful acts for all their days, living apart from God and without any concern for him desire to spend any time with Him when their time on earth comes to an end? Most people who have chosen to reject the provision of God have no desire to spend all eternity with Him, those who desire to spend eternity with him or are indifferent to this, definitely do not desire to spend any time in Hell. But there are only (2) options made available to us all – Eternity in Heaven with God or Eternity in Hell without Him. There is no third option for those who desire to live for themselves, in submission to some moral code, or just try to do more good deeds than evil or sinful deeds and believe they will to escape Hell by doing so. If you have no desire to spend eternity in Heaven with God, you will spend eternity in Hell apart from Him. There are those who believe that there is some third option because even though they aren’t interested in any provision for their sins made available by God, they believe that their attempt to live a good moral life should count for something and be enough to allow them to escape final judgment being damned to an eternity in Hell. This is not the case. The only way to ensure residence in Heaven for all eternity as opposed to Hell is to accept the provision of God for our sin – His Son, Jesus Christ as Lord and Personal Savior. If anyone dies and has not taken advantage of this gracious provision, they are with certainty damned for all Eternity in Hell - where there is no cease of suffering, darkness, agony and torture among other things for all Eternity. Actually any description of Hell will not do the actual experience or state any justice. The real Hell is even more Hellish than any thought, description, or concept imaginable. If anyone thinks they can just simply choose not to believe in Helll’s existence, they are in for rude awakening. Pray that we all come to a knowledge of the truthfulness of Hell, accept the provision of God and realize an eternity in Heaven with God instead of the inevitable doom waiting for those who choose to continue in their damned and doomed state apart from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Mark 10:18In light of these verses, why do most people still believe they are good? I am thinking we don’t realize how wicked our hearts are according to God. According to God in the Bible “the heart of man is desperately wicked, who can know it?”. Most people probably would not admit to this fact. If you think about it, “who would admit to having a desperately wicked heart? The fact is that we are born with this heart and if we are honest with ourselves we would have to accept this fact. Our hearts are capable of things that we wouldn’t believe possible. Most people believe that they aren’t perfect, but that they are basically good. They feel this way because they are convinced there are certain things that they could not, would not, or have not done and because of this fact they believe that if there is a heaven they will go there after they die. They believe they are innocent of certain sins because they have not actually indulged in them. Some of the more heinous sins like rape, molestation, and murder others are guilty of but not them. The fact is no one could ever go before God who is absolutely Holy and Righteous and claim innocence of any sin. God judges our hearts and not our actions alone. There is no sin that our hearts are not guilty of. We hear of molesters, murders, and pedophiles and are immediately self righteous and in our self-righteousness we judge the molester, etc. based on the fact that we are convinced that we could never do anything like that and believe that we are better from a moral stand point. This helps us believe the lie that we are basically “good”.
We should realize that the only difference between us and people who have committed heinous sins is the fact that we have different backgrounds, circumstances, situations, and environments in accordance to the grace of God. The fact is had we lived the life of the heinous sinner our hearts would not have responded any differently. If we had lived the same life of the heinous sinner experiencing the same circumstances, situations, environments that he/she did, do we really feel that apart from the grace of God that we would not act out the same way? The answer to this question is found based on the bible verse, Genesis 6:5 as, mentioned earlier – “The heart of man is desperately wicked, who can know it”. Our hearts are desperately wicked and there is no sin that they are not capable of or will be declared innocent of before God. This is why we are directed to guard our hearts and ensure that it is not given the opportunity to manifest some of the vile, heinous sins that it is capable of. No one is any better than anyone else. No one is any worst than anyone else. Our hearts are equally desperate and unknowable. The only difference is the environment, circumstance, prior actions, decisions, and situations involved. If they are identical, the manifestations of the heart have a tendency of being the same. The only difference will be based on the grace of God and the fickle nature of the heart. The fickle nature of the heart could manifest the actions to a worst or less degree but both individuals would have the same guilt before God. So know that you are equally guilty of any sin that you judge anyone else for, due to the wicked propensity of your heart, even though you may have never actually indulged in the sin.
Therefore, we should not view people as any worst than we are. Or think of ourselves as better than anyone else. We should extend forbearance for all people and endure the negative actions of all because apart from the grace of God we would certainly be guilty of the same acts that we are so easy to judge others for.
So when we are so ready and eager to judge people like Jerry Sandusky, Casey Anthony, Saddam Hussein, Osama Ben Laden or Bernie Madoff, you should think apart from the grace of God and faith in a Savior that imputes righteousness and holiness to your account before God, you will not escape any judgment that you are certain they will experience. We should always hold our peace and our judgment when considering others and treat them the same way we would like to be treated if we were guilty of the same offenses. Some people believe the statement “I couldn’t help myself… I had to do it” is a cop-out”. However, if you give in to your sinful nature… your desperately wicked heart it will eventually take over. The problem is the law of diminishing returns will take over also. The sinful nature has an unquenchable desire for fulfillment. It will always desire and crave more and will never be satisfied no matter the extents we go to appease it. Also, we will always be chasing the initial feelings and responses of sin when it was new, but will never attain those initial feelings and responses. This is the law of diminishing returns. The more we indulge the less satisfying, but the more intense is the desire to continue indulging. Experiences are never enjoyed to the same or better degree than the first time. Eventhough there is a law of diminishing returns at work, we still crave these experiences. Since the sinful nature cannot be appeased, we will eventually forfeit our very lives trying to satisfy the cravings of our sinful nature and wicked hearts. This is why we desperately need a Savior. We desperately need some external even supernatural assistance to free us from this situation and predicament…..
4We know that the Law is spiritual; but I am a creature of the flesh [carnal, unspiritual], having been sold into slavery under [the control of] sin. 15For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled, bewildered]. I do not practice or accomplish what I wish, but I do the very thing that I loathe [[b]which my moral instinct condemns]. 16Now if I do [habitually] what is contrary to my desire, [that means that] I acknowledge and agree that the Law is good (morally excellent) and that I take sides with it. 17However, it is no longer I who do the deed, but the sin [principle] which is at home in me and has possession of me. 18For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot perform it. [I have the intention and urge to do what is right, but no power to carry it out.]19For I fail to practice the good deeds I desire to do, but the evil deeds that I do not desire to do are what I am [ever] doing. 20Now if I do what I do not desire to do, it is no longer I doing it [it is not myself that acts], but the sin [principle] which dwells within me [[c]fixed and operating in my soul].21So I find it to be a law (rule of action of my being) that when I want to do what is right and good, evil is ever present with me and I am subject to its insistent demands.22For I endorse and delight in the Law of God in my inmost self [with my new nature]. 23But I discern in my bodily members [[d]in the sensitive appetites and wills of the flesh] a different law (rule of action) at war against the law of my mind (my reason) and making me a prisoner to the law of sin that dwells in my bodily organs [[e]in the sensitive appetites and wills of the flesh]. 24O unhappy and pitiable and wretched man that I am! Who will release and deliver me from [the shackles of] this body of death? 25O thank God! [He will!] through Jesus Christ (the Anointed One) our Lord! So then indeed I, of myself with the mind and heart, serve the Law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin. Romans 7:4-25.
This statement was written by a person who desired to live a godly life, but did not have the power to do so. This is true of some people, but most people want to live the life they want to live and are not concerned about doing what they should do. They don’t realize that they are giving into their sinful natures and will eventually suffer an eternity in Hell if they do not realize their need for a Savior and seek out one before they die. The only religious leader claiming to have the power to forgive sin, impute righteousness, and provide additional power to live a life pleasing and acceptable to Him is JESUS CHRIST!!!! Trust in Him and His finished work on the cross for your sake. Accept Him as your LORD and PERSONAL Savior and He will free you of your current predicament of guilt and pending condemnation and eternal separation from GOD in HELL.

Truth and Light as oppsed Error and Darkness - Which do you Prefer?

John 3: 14-21,
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must [so it is necessary that] the Son of Man be lifted up [on the cross],
15 In order that everyone who believes in Him [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him] may [c]not perish, but have eternal life and [actually] live forever!
16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([d]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

I am sure that most, if not all people in most countries around the world (those who have internet capability) have been made aware of this simple, non-threatening, informative, insightful, and necessary passage of scripture packed and full of truth and insight into the heart, mind and will of God. It proclaims the extent of His Love for all of us (mankind world-wide), how He demonstrated this unique love by giving His Only begotten Son as provision for those (among all humans for all time dwelling on earth) willing to trust in His provision to escape pending doom in Hell and receive eternal life instead with in Heaven.

17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.

I would venture to say that far less people world-wide are aware of this passage of scripture. It clearly states that God did not provide His Only begotten son to judge, condemn, or damn the world. This is Good News to and for us All. The purpose for sending His Son was not to condemn us, judge us, or DOOM us to Hell for all Eternity. Why do you think this clarification was made by Him? I believe God wanted to inform us that sentence for us and our sin has already been proclaimed and pronounced by Him. There is no need to proclaim or pronounce it again (read Romans Chapters 1-3 for a better understanding of this pronouncement). God is proclaiming a provision for His pending judgment against sin of all kind manifested in all of it’s various ways. He clearly states “but that the world might find salvation .. through Him”. Why does the world need to find salvation if it is not condemned? This is God’s way of verifying and validating the truth and reality of the coming judgment for sin. He informs us of a way to escape this pending doom by placing our trust and faith in His Son and his finished work on the cross on our behalf as a provision for our sin of which we are all guilty of.
Through the Bible (esp. the New Testament) there are list of sinful acts that are under the condemnation of God. These lists are not exhaustive. They are merely a list of the heinous or common sinful acts that are under the condemnation of God and consequently those who practice these things are also under the same condemnation and judgment. I am not sure why some people are very vocal in expressing disdain, resentment, and judgment for those who inform them that because they continue to practice certain sinful acts, that they are under the judgment and condemnation of God. We are all under this condemnation and judgment regardless of what particular sins we choose to practice. No one can escape this judgment, condemnation, and doom ultimately manifested by being damned to an eternity in Hell. God has informed us all that He has sent His Only Begotten Son not to inform us of our judgment, but to inform us of the only provision made available to us to escape this judgment.

18 He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation—he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ’s name.]

This is clearly stated by the words “but he who does not believe is judged already because he has not believed in the only begotten Son of God.” If anyone chooses not to believe in and accept God’s only provision for our sin- manifested in the various sins that we are guilty of, we remain under the judgment and condemnation of God. After God makes this clarification of judgment and provision, he provides further insight into our current state apart from Christ in the next few verses.

19 The [basis of the] judgment (indictment, the test by which men are judged, the ground for the sentence) lies in this: the Light has come into the world, and people have loved the darkness rather than and more than the Light, for their works (deeds) were evil.
20 For every wrongdoer hates (loathes, detests) the Light, and will not come out into the Light but shrinks from it, lest his works (his deeds, his activities, his conduct) be exposed and reproved.
